What these lists are. A stock is looked at when its price shows one or more of these set-ups. For a breakout watch: near its 52-week high (within 5%, above its 50-day average); at a 50-session high; through a falling trendline (a line joining its last two swing highs, drawn over the last six months); or back above its 50-day average in the last five sessions. For a breakdown watch the mirror image: near its 52-week low (within 8%, below the 50-day average); at a 50-session low; through a rising trendline joining its last two swing lows; or below its 50-day average in the last five sessions. It is listed only with backing reasons (a fresh break needs one, a stock merely near a high or low needs two): its latest results, company filings in the last four days, bulk or block deals, the sector's move (today, or over 20 sessions against the Nifty), heavy trading (a big move on large turnover, or volume well above its 20-session average), and government policy (a policy or regulatory item that helps or weighs on the stock's sector, from CapitCue's own notes with sources). These are set-ups seen in the data, not forecasts. A stock can break out and fall back, or break down and recover.

Impact watch: what is moving, and who it may help or hurt

What this is. Events in the world (international) and at home (local) that can push some sectors or stocks one way: a global sell-off in AI and chip shares, US interest-rate moves, war and oil, the rupee, RBI and government decisions. Each card says what happened, which sectors or stocks it may help or may weigh on, how long the idea holds (validity), and a live check: is that sector actually moving the way the idea says, today, against the market? These are CapitCue's readings of media reports and official releases, written by hand and dated; they are ideas to check, not forecasts, and a sector can move the other way.

How to read this. A stock on these lists shows a price set-up that traders watch (a trendline break, a 50-session high or low, a 50-day average reclaim, or a stock pressing on its 52-week high or low) plus at least one reason from its results, company filings, bulk or block deals, sector or trading. That describes what the data show now, not what the price will do next. Breaks fail often and prices can turn straight back. Trendlines are drawn automatically through the last two swing highs or lows of daily prices, which is one of several ways to draw them; averages and levels are calculated by CapitCue from daily prices up to the last completed session, and the price, today's move and the 52-week range are live from the exchange feed. A split or bonus in the last two years can create a false break. Company filings are read from the subject line only, not the full document, and a filing can be good or bad news whatever its type. Bulk and block deal data covers only the latest session and mostly smaller companies, so it appears here only when a Nifty 500 stock had a deal. The sector move is the middle move of Nifty 500 stocks with the same industry label today. Results signals come from the automatic analysis on the Results Analysis page, which is not reviewed by a person. Always check the company's own filings and your own situation, or speak to a SEBI-registered adviser, before any decision. CapitCue shows information only. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold, or investment advice.
